Studio Benton started life 20 years ago in Cranbrook, as Evernden Interiors. In May 2021 the Evernden Interiors studio relocated to Deal, on the Kent coast. Deal is a historic coastal town, renowned for its 5 mile stretch of pebble beach and winding streets of some of the country's finest Georgian architecture. Belinda, the founder of Evernden Interiors, has family connections to Deal which go back generations and she'd enjoyed spending more and more time here over the years. Belinda made the decision to relocate her life to Deal and so it rather made sense that the studio came too.
Further encouraging the relocation of the company, was the news of Belinda's daughter Hannah also deciding to make the move to Deal with her partner Jack, having fallen in love with the town and its laissez-faire ways. Excited by the opportunity to join forces with her mother and enticed by the renovation of their Georgian terraced house, Jack and Hannah moved to Deal, and soon after, Studio Benton was born.
Hannah is an architect-trained interior designer with a contemporary and paired back aesthetic. She spent the 5 years prior to Studio Benton at bwt, working on both commercial and residential projects globally, including the renovation of the award winning country house hotel, Heckfield Place.
